InternPEA Group is a company focused on civil engineering and land surveying. They are seeking a Survey Intern to support the land survey crew by operating surveying instruments, compiling notes, and assisting with field data collection on various projects.

Responsibilities
Gains exposure to the day-to-day workings of a land survey team
Serves as a member of a land survey crew performing field work on civil engineering, construction, land surveying and geospatial projects
Operates and maintains instruments and equipment needed to complete land surveying tasks
Assists with taking field notes, collection of field data and related computations
Demonstrates safety practices and behaviors on project sites
Carries equipment and tools for long distances
Clears brush and small trees
Communicates using basic land surveying terminology
Controls traffic when working in or near roadways
Maintains, cleans and organizes land surveying vehicle and equipment
Reads and interprets construction plans and drawings
Performs work in many outdoor developed and natural environments
Adheres to safety protocols and procedures outlined by PEA Group
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Enrolled and pursuing Land Surveying, Geomatics, Geospatial, GIS, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
No experience necessary
General knowledge of math and trigonometry
Good hand writing and ability to sketch and document activities
Positive attitude and desire to learn
Strong math skills and interest in mathematics
Strong work ethic and team-player attitude
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule with longer hours while maintaining concentration in varying weather and site conditions
Must be able and willing to travel and work in other cities, including both urban and remote areas
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
