Computed Tomography Technologist I or II - CT Scan (Sat-Mon 7p-7a)
The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking Computed Tomography Technologists to join their team. The role involves performing routine and complex diagnostic CT procedures, providing direct assistance to physicians, and ensuring optimal patient care and safety during examinations.
Responsibilities
Complete a variety of routine diagnostic CT procedures to include common and special CT exams of moderate complexity
Provide direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special CT procedures
Deliver exceptional patient care and adhere to CT exam standards, radiation dose standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service
Serve as a mentor and trainer to the CT Technologist I and students
Work independently by exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures
Qualification
Required
Associates of Applied Science
Graduate of an accredited radiography program
Graduate of an accredited computed tomography program (to include UTMB cross-training program)
No experience required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R)
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board NMTCB(CT) or must be eligible for ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) certification and obtain within 6 months of hire
Certification Board NMTCB (CT)
Texas Medical Board certification (MRT)
American Heart Association BLS
Proficient in all CT, CTA, CT Perfusion, CT Cardiac and CT Interventional procedures
3+ years of experience
