They are seeking a Cytotechnologist to microscopically examine and diagnose gyn and non-gyn cytology, ensuring accurate results and maintaining quality control throughout the process.

Responsibilities
Determines acceptability of submitted specimens, assures proper identification specimen throughout process
Examines, interprets, reports all finding for GYN and non-GYN cases
Assures positive patient identification, keep a daily count of slides read in all labs where employed, maintains proficiency and competency
Maintains all DHMH and CLIA required QC and performance improvement monitors in a timely fashion
Maintains technical knowledge in cytology and is able to process and prepare specimens for cytological evaluation by all applicable methodology
Assists with fine needle aspirates in radiology by performing slide preparation of specimens
Accurately inputs tests requests and patient results into Cerner
Prepares reagents and verifies correct instrument operation to perform HR HPV testing on required Thin Prep specimens
Proactively takes responsibility for learning new material
Communicates clearly & professionally with coworkers, physicians, nurses, visitors and patients in a courteous, friendly and helpful manner
Work well with others, contributing to patient care both independently or teaching others
Qualification
Required
1-3 years of experience
Bachelor's Degree BS-Life Science/Med Tech
Cytologist license
