Responsibilities
Work on complex transportation design projects in CT, MA, and RI
Create horizontal and vertical alignments and develop detailed 3D roadway models
Perform engineering calculations for pavement design, traffic engineering, and drainage systems
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare high-quality deliverables including design drawings, reports, specifications, presentations, and cost estimates
Provide construction phase support by reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and responding to contractor questions
Conduct site visits to evaluate existing roadways and drainage systems
Maintain thorough and organized project documentation
Qualification
Required
BS in Civil Engineering
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year
0-4 years of relevant experience in transportation engineering
Strong verbal/written communication skills and ability to collaborate with in-person and remote teams
Excellent time management and organization to work on concurrent projects and deliver projects on time
Preferred
Familiarity with OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Working knowledge of DOT standards and procedures
