Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - Vascular

Responsibilities

Conducts vascular ultrasound exam of outpatients
Obtains patient history and performs clinical assessments and diagnostic Lab examinations of carotid, peripheral arterial, venous, and visceral studies, as well as endovenous laser (EVLA) procedures
Maintains exceptional patient care
Responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process
Analyzes, interprets, and records data obtained from test results
Conducts follow-up studies as required
Records information from tests and analyzes using diagnostic criteria
Completes all paperwork and reports for each study and/or procedure
Maintains equipment to ensure operational effectiveness
Participates in Quality Assurance process
Provides support for maintaining ICAVL accreditation
Responds to physician questions and clinical needs regarding patient exams/ procedures
Ensures a clean, stocked, well-equipped work area
Performs other duties as required in support of the lab

Required

Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree desirable
Minimum of 2 years- experience as a Registered Vascular Technologist preferred
Knowledge of the ICAVL certification process helpful
