Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure efficient and effective production processes and that production targets and deadlines are met
Provide training, guidance, and support to production team members. Conduct performance evaluations, address performance issues, and manage disciplinary actions as necessary
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Monitor and inspect parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Address and resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and adequate stock to meet production needs
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency utilizing lean manufacturing principles
Perform routine maintenance on assembly equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition
Document production issues and provide information to the following shift
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or automotive assembly
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role
Experience in manufacturing or a related field, ideally in the automotive industry
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications and requirements
Proven ability to communicate production metrics and collaborate effectively across departments, including logistics, quality, and manufacturing
Strong coaching and mentorship skills, with experience in the training and development of new team members
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting
Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods
Commitment to workplace safety and following safety protocols
Flexibility to work and/or train on various shifts as needed
