Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric illnesses and conditions in an outpatient setting
Provide anticipatory guidance, immunizations, and preventative care for infants, children, and adolescents
See an average of 16 patients per day and document all visits in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Educate patients and caregivers on disease prevention, health maintenance, and child development
Refer patients to specialists as needed and manage ongoing care plans in coordination with other providers
Participate in committee work, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
Follow all WWKMHCC Medical Bylaws, IHS policies, HIPAA regulations, and CMS standards
Maintain timely and accurate medical records; documentation is expected to be completed at least 95% on time
Complete all required orientation, background checks, credentialing, and trainings prior to patient care
Qualification
Required
MD or DO with completion of a pediatric residency from an accredited institution
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Active and unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state or territory
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (PALS preferred)
Minimum 2 years of pediatric clinical experience in the last 3 years
Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) usage
Must pass Tier 2 background investigation under the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act
Demonstrated cultural competency in working with Native American communities
Current CV and proof of Board Certification/Residency
DEA license and state medical license(s)
Three professional references (including 1 supervisor and 1 peer)
