Responsibilities
Read work orders, set up, run and reset specified manufacturing equipment consistent with customer requirements, established production and quality standards, notify lead/supervisor of equipment failure or problems; seek to improve efficiency and make process change recommendations to Supervisors
Prepare product throughout the production process using safety knives, scissors, & tweezers
Locate, stock, build, & manage WIP from the production line in terms of storage & inventory control; load and unload material onto or from production fixed equipment to carriers & mobile racks; deliver WIP safely & efficiently throughout the production line & prepare shipments for delivery
Operate safety sensitive and heavy equipment such as electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, & fixed equipment
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
May perform all system tracking activities in accordance with customer requirements and departmental guidelines; including, but not limited to entering accurate data into the company specified systems for job time and inventory tracking
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to Supervisor or area lead
Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualification
Required
Previous production operations, material handling, or technician experience within a manufacturing or warehouse comparable environment preferred but not required
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Must be at least 18 years of age
Punctuality and a professional, can-do attitude are a must
Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing
Open to schedule flexibility that will allow for a variety of shifts, including days, nights, or weekends as needed
Ability to work overtime & change schedule on short notice as required
Candidates with IPC 7711/7721 certification are strongly encouraged to apply
May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures
The employee is regularly required to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
The employee must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds without assistance (including ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs)
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
