Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for performing the full range of technical procedures performed within special modality areas

Works under minimal supervision

Responsible for providing patient care during imaging exams for patients ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric

Demonstrates knowledge and competency in patient care skills

Required

A graduate of an accredited ultrasound program is required

Valid ultrasound certification required

Must maintain a current CPR certification

English required

Skill in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals without a calculator

Knowledge of the metric system units (length, area, volume, capacity, mass and weight) and U.S. equivalents

Must have the ability to apply non-judgmental reasoning capabilities whenever necessary when dealing with patients, visitors, and staff

Critical thinking and multitasking skills are a must

Must have reasonable reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do

Must possess purposeful, self-regulatory judgment which results in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference, as well as explanation of the evidential, conceptual, methodological, criteriological, or contextual

Preferred

At least one year of experience in healthcare medical radiology, imaging, and/or therapy field preferred

Multilingual capabilities enhance the ability to perform this job
