Responsibilities

Lead traffic planning, studies, design, and operations tasks and projects

Develop innovative solutions for traffic management, signal systems, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)

Contribute to improving traffic operations, safety, and pedestrian circulation for cities and communities

Qualification

Traffic engineering experienceProfessional Engineering (PE) licenseCAD software knowledgeIntelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)Traffic operations experienceDesign project experienceLocal industry knowledgeCommunication skillsTeam collaboration

Required

Strong communication skills

Ability to contribute and work well on a team

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

10+ years of experience in traffic engineering, traffic operations, or ITS projects

Professional Engineering (PE) license in Texas

Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation

Working knowledge of software including Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM or other similar software

Preferred

Experience with design projects and traffic studies

Local industry knowledge and experience
