MRI Technologist PRN

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is committed to delivering respectful, compassionate care and is seeking an MRI Technologist PRN to join their imaging team. The role involves providing magnetic resonance imaging services to patients, ensuring high-quality images, and maintaining effective communication with patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Required

Graduate of a 2-year, AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR)
Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of 1-3 years of prior/current MRI Technologist experience
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
