Postdoctoral Research Opportunity – Cardiovascular Inflammation
Northwestern Department of Neurological Surgery is offering a postdoctoral research opportunity in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Comprehensive Transplant Immunobiology Laboratory. The role focuses on evaluating therapeutic strategies for transplant-associated cardiovascular pathology and involves leading experiments, analyzing data, and mentoring trainees.

Responsibilities
Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments in collaboration with engineering and immunobiology teams
Analyze data, present findings at internal and external scientific meetings, and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication
Contribute to mentoring of trainees and fostering a collaborative, respectful, and welcoming lab environment
Qualification
Required
PhD in biomedical engineering, immunology, molecular biology, or a related field
Experience working with mice (especially murine atherosclerosis or transplant models)
Experience with mammalian cell culture, protein expression, flow cytometry, tissue sectioning, and immunofluorescence
Strong background in immunology and/or vascular biology
Excellent communication skills and growth mindset
