Conduct cutting-edge research using mouse models of angiogenesis and cardiovascular disease
Utilize molecular biology techniques, cell-based assays, confocal immunofluorescence imaging, and single-cell (nucleus) RNA-seq/bioinformatics
Collaborate with colleagues within the FCVRRI and across Northwestern University’s Chicago and Evanston campuses
Qualification
Required
Candidates should hold a recent PhD, MD, or equivalent degree with strong research training in cardiovascular biology, inflammation, molecular and cell biology, signal transduction/transcriptional regulation, immunohistochemical analysis, fluorescence imaging, mouse colony management, mouse models of pathological angiogenesis, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, bioinformatics, or related fields
Critical thinking and effective communication skills are essential qualities
