Responsibilities
Engineering Design
Performs basic calculations and designs engineering systems under the direct supervision of experienced engineers or designers
Asks questions when performing unfamiliar tasks
Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics
Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans, and designs for projects
Organizes and files project materials and references
Assists in the selection of basic equipment
Coordinates with other disciplines
Drafting
Maintains and/or increases knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Revu
Continuous Learning & Internship Activities
Identifies and seeks to fill gaps in engineering knowledge on a continuous basis
Research and apply Henderson’s design guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures
Provides general support as needed
Attends production type Henderson training sessions
Participates in Henderson intern meetings, trainings and activities
Qualification
Required
Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in architectural, electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Preferred
Previous coursework in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or other Computer-Aided Drafting preferred
Relevant internship experience preferred
Practical experience in building systems engineering preferred
Experience with industry codes and standards preferred
