Responsibilities
Provides general medical care to health center patients
Evaluates patient’s health status and initiates therapeutic and preventive measures
Educates patients by teaching preventative care
Documents patients’ history and treatments
Performs medical triage
Stabilizes emergencies prior to hospitalization
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests. Follows-up on patients
When appropriate, refers patients to specialists or other physicians
Qualification
Required
Current NYS Registered Nurse License
BLS certified
Chronic Care Management
Ability and willingness to drive to all locations as needed based on the health center needs
Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with others and works effectively to solve problems and issues
Ability to read, write, understand and speak English in a clear and concise manner
Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform a variety of clinical procedures relevant to practice area
Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards
Ability to use basic electronic data entry and retrieval system
Experience with Electronic Medical Software
Eligible to Work in the US
Preferred
Two years' experience as an RN preferred but not required
