Responsibilities

Initial point of contact for escalation issues for connectivity and network performance

Provision and deploy network equipment and troubleshoot connectivity issues

Communicate and work with other technical teams to design effective solutions, identify technical requirements, and develop project plans to execute the delivery of the solution

Support in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues related to network and server equipment

Participate in scheduled maintenance and updates, following established procedures

Assist in conducting regular audits of network operations assets and inventory

Monitor network performance and respond to alerts in a timely manner

Help maintain network security protocols, including monitoring access logs and enforcing security policies

Support network testing, ensuring system integrity and availability

Plan and estimate projects and track progress using software applications including Jira, Cherwell, Smartsheet, etc

Constantly learn new technologies and skills via media, courses, or new applications

Wireless network design and support

Assist in data center cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols

Support the documentation and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other relevant documentation

Participate in the maintenance of fire suppression, HVAC, and other critical systems within the facility

Work closely with network operations staff to learn best practices and operational procedures

Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge of network operations

Contribute to special projects as assigned, including data analysis and process improvement initiatives

Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college, either at the undergraduate or master's level
