Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive system administration of Jira Service Desk and Confluence Data Center (user management, project configuration, workflow customization, patching, and upgrades)
Deliver user support, including troubleshooting access/permissions issues, training, and documentation
Perform customization and optimization of workflows and system performance to meet organizational needs
Implement integration and automation with external systems using Jira automation, Appfire, Adaptavist ScriptRunner, and other plugins
Ensure strict security and compliance with DOJ/BOP policies, including role-based access controls, issue security schemes, and LDAP/SSO integration
Generate and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to track KPIs, service desk performance, and asset management data
Manage and resolve incidents and problems, with proactive measures to improve reliability and prevent recurrence
Support Confluence Data Center administration (installation, configuration, clustering, performance optimization, backup/disaster recovery, migration, and plugin management)
Qualification
Required
Proven experience administering Jira Service Management and Confluence Data Center
Expertise with Deviniti plugins (Dynamic Forms, Queues, Issue Templates, Extension for JSM)
Proficiency with Appfire plugins (Surveys for Jira, JSU Automation Suite, JMWE)
Strong knowledge of Adaptavist ScriptRunner (Groovy scripting, automation, custom JQL, REST API integrations)
Experience with Jira Insight Asset Management (schema setup, imports, automation, reporting)
Advanced understanding of roles, permissions, and issue security schemes
Confluence Data Center expertise (clustering, reverse proxy configuration, SSO, security audits, scaling, migration, upgrades)
Strong troubleshooting skills, including workflow debugging, log analysis, and plugin compatibility checks
Ability to create documentation and training materials for technical and non-technical users
Must meet DOJ/BOP personnel security clearance requirements, commensurate with the sensitivity of data accessed
U.S. Citizenship is strongly preferred (required for most DOJ/BOP roles)
