InternThe Pennsylvania State University is seeking a part-time intern for the Quality Assurance Lab at the Penn State Berkey Creamery. This hands-on role involves assisting with testing and evaluating dairy products, managing documentation related to food quality and safety.

Assisting with testing (analytical, microbiological) and evaluating (organoleptic) and release of products
Managing ingredient and finished product documents including specifications, recipes, nutritional labels, standard operating procedures and other documentation related to food quality and safety in support of the manufacturing of dairy products
Qualification
Required
High attention to detail
Must be available to work weekends
The student should have food science experience or similar exposure to food processing at the lab, pilot plant or manufacturing plant level
The student must be able to work as part of a team as well as with a diversified group of people
The candidate selected must be able to follow Good Manufacturing Practices for the food industry
