Pile Driving Crane Operator

Responsibilities

Operate heavy, motorized crane equipment used in remediation operations to support a variety of heavy earthworks operations
Use hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources
Read and comply with safety plans, rules, maintenance instructions, training materials, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), warning tags, traffic signs and procedure manuals
Follow all safety guidelines, protocols, and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and bystanders
Conduct pre-operational inspections of cranes to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential hazards
Safely lift, move, and position heavy materials, equipment, and machinery using the crane
Determine load capacities, rigging requirements, and appropriate lifting techniques for each task
Maintain clear and effective communication with other team members, including signalers or riggers, to coordinate lifting operations and ensure safe load movement
Perform routine maintenance and inspection of cranes, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs
Report any equipment malfunctions or defects to the appropriate personnel
Complete accurate records and logbooks related to crane operations, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents that occur during work hours
Ability to travel, work extended hours
Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed

Required

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
Two plus years of crane operation/maintenance experience
CCO Mobile Crane Operator Certification for Lattice Boom Crawler Cranes (LBC)
Ability to travel, work extended hours

Preferred

40 Hour HAZWOPER training
Competent Person Safety Training
8-Hour Supervisory Training
30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training
First Aid and CPR
