Radiologic Technologist II (HRA-718)

Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to perform radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of the Medical Director and Director of Medical Imaging. The role involves operating radiography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Follows departmental procedures for completing exams, including correct positioning, equipment utilization, and image retention
Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with all customers
Applies radiation protection skills
Works effectively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive quality care to all patients
Maintains regulatory requirements, including all state, federal, and TJC regulations related to the Department, and as appropriate, the hospital
Consistently performs duties independently with minimum supervision
Operates equipment and safely performs job-related duties. Maintains a clean/safe work environment
Adheres to all department procedure protocols
Performs all radiographic procedures with a sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, positioning, and technical factors to produce quality diagnostic images
Assures that the proper examination is performed on the correct patient and understands the clinical reason the exam is being performed
Demonstrates professional demeanor and ability to triage multiple requests and asks for assistance when appropriate
Gathers appropriate clinical information for each examination, assuring that safe care is delivered
Consistently performing in a manner that enhances customer service and approaches work with the attitude that quality can always be improved
Must demonstrate and maintain competency in all aspects of duties, including in the designated specialty
Perform other duties as assigned or requested professionally

Required

Current Radiology Technologist certificate/permit from CDPH
Current Fluoroscopy certificate/permit from CDPH
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider Course
Current California State Venipuncture Certificate
Current registration in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-ARRT (R)
Graduate of AMA-approved school of radiologic technology, Associates of Science
5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Current Basic Life Support (CPR-BLS)
Current California State Radiology Technologist certificate from California Department of Public Health, Radiology Health Branch (CDPH RHB-CRT)
Current or obtain within 6 months of hire a California State Fluoro Permit from the California Department of Public Health, Radiology Health Branch (CDPH RHB- CRT Fluoro)
Current California State Venipuncture Certificate
Current registration in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R))
