Responsibilities

Plan, maintain and administer an effective Quality Control Plan possessing a high degree of integrity at cost consistent with the contract and appropriate risk level
Develop complex production and development Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection
Represent the quality function on the PMO Staff. Be a key stakeholder on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for our customers
Coordinate resources with appropriate functional management across Moog sites
Implement company policy and assure compliance of Moog systems and procedures to appropriate governmental regulations
Act as the primary interface between Moog and its supplier base for quality related issues including ensuring that the suppliers can adhere to Moog’s quality flow down requirements, acting as the technical liaison for supplier issues, and establishing root cause and corrective actions for arising nonconformances. Travel to suppliers will be required
Participate in program review meetings with Moog and Moog’s customer
Apply problem solving techniques and conduct quality engineering studies to improve production, reduce inspection cost, and prevent cost due to failure. These studies require mastery of analysis techniques and the ability to develop new systems or procedures
Review materials for disposition and lead root cause and corrective action analyses and failure analyses with teams solving emerging problems
Work effectively with teams that may include customers, suppliers, operations personnel, and personnel from other Engineering disciplines, to identify and implement verifiable solutions. This requires a collaborative and creative approach to complex problem solving

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related degree
At least 7 years of experience as a Quality Engineer
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment including experience with AS9100 or other similar quality management system
Ability to manage in a fast-paced growth environment
This job requires an active US Government security clearance This clearance requires U.S. citizenship
Ability to manage through influence without direct line reporting in some cases
