Responsibilities
Inspect electrical system/device repairs and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety requirements
Maintain detailed documentation of work activities, inspections, and repairs
Review electrical methods, materials, equipment, and standards
Prepare reports, forms, and correspondence based on inspection findings
Communicate effectively with VDOT personnel, contractors, and the public
Utilize engineering and testing equipment, as well as computers and software applications for documentation and reporting
Ensure all work complies with traffic control and safety requirements
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma/GED
US Citizen
Experience in electrical inspection, maintenance, or related field
Knowledge of electrical methods, materials, equipment, standards, and specifications
Strong documentation, communication, and reporting skills
Proficient with engineering/testing equipment and software applications
Valid driver's license and safety shoes required
Possession of or ability to obtain required certifications within 12 months of employment
