Responsibilities

Develop, create and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs) to ensure seamless submarine maintenance operations

Assist with Deficiency Form problems and prepare Sales Cost estimates to support efficient project budgeting and resource allocation

Perform mechanical, electrical and/or structural analysis to ensure system integrity

Evaluate components, materials, and systems to ensure system integration, compatibility, and stability

Some travel will be required

Work will be in support of US Navy Submarines, Submersibles, or Deep Submergence projects

Required

Electrical / Mechanical / Systems / Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)

Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress, etc

Experience with configuration management and document control

Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment

Ability to achieve excellence working individually or as part of a team

Attention to detail

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance

Preferred

Prior experience specifically with US Navy submarine systems

Familiarity with SUBSAFE, Fly-by-Wire, and SOC

Electrical power background (NSTM 300)

Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI, and ASME standards

Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair, and/or testing

Experience with MS Office suite of products
