Qualification

Registered Vascular TechnologistVascular SonographyBasic Life SupportRegistered Diagnostic Medical SonographersDecisive judgmentWork under stressCritical thinkingWork independently

Required

Registered as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the ARDMS within three years of hire

Registered in Vascular Sonography (VS) by the ARRT within three years of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)

New graduates must be registered with ARDMS within two years of graduation; all other personnel must be registered with ARDMS within one year of hire or, Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S)

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
