Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs using current standards, CAD/CAM software, and G-Code
Supervise, schedule, and direct CNC machinists to meet production levels, quality standards, and efficiency goals
Troubleshoot CNC horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, and other equipment; perform setups, tool changes, and offset adjustments
Coordinate machining schedules across departments (Engineering, Maintenance, Die Shop) and ensure tooling readiness
Train operators and team members on CNC programming, equipment use, and quality standards
Monitor tool life, perform preventative maintenance, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing initiatives, and compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
Certified Machinist and CNC Machinist certification required
Minimum 2 years in heavy manufacturing (preferably automotive)
3+ years of CNC machining/programming
Prior leadership/supervisory experience
Advanced knowledge of machining fundamentals (turning, milling)
CNC programming
Tooling
Blueprint/CAD reading
Troubleshooting
Automation basics

Preferred

Associate's degree in a technical field preferred
Industry-recognized qualification as a Machinist
CMM training
CNC standards knowledge
Crane/forklift certification a plus
