The Market Development role is essential for unlocking a distributed power grid in the U.S. by developing strategies to ensure that distributed storage competes effectively with traditional generation resources.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategy to get electric utilities to value distributed assets for what they’re worth
Build on your existing network of utility industry contacts to identify needs for distributed storage early in their procurement lifecycle
Advocate on behalf of Base through utility and regulatory proceedings (e.g., IRPs, RFIs, RFPs, programs dockets) to enable distributed storage to compete on a level playing field with traditional generation resources
Proactively engage PUCs to lay groundwork in regions of the country strategically interesting to Base

Required

Tangible examples of enabling scale with large industrial counterparties
