Responsibilities

Teach 4 sections of Construction and Woodworking 1 classes, focusing on safety, tools, materials, framing, electrical, plumbing, and finish carpentry
Teach 1 section of Construction and Woodworking 2 also focusing on safety, tools, materials, framing, electrical, plumbing, and finish carpentry
Develop and deliver engaging, project-based curriculum aligned with state and district standards
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and career readiness
Collaborate with colleagues, industry professionals, and post-secondary partners to support student success
Assist in facilitating internships and work-based learning opportunities for advanced students in collaboration with trade professionals
Maintain industry-standard safety protocols and oversee the use and maintenance of shop equipment
Participate in school-wide professional development and curriculum planning initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Technology Education, Industrial Arts, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry certification and teaching license eligibility)
Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) teaching license in [one or more of the following areas] to cover the respective grade level(s) being taught: Technology Education Family and Consumer Education Marketing Education Agriculture Education Business Education

Preferred

Experience in the construction trades (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing, general contracting)
Previous experience teaching or mentoring high school students
Experience working with industry professionals to support student career pathways, including internships and apprenticeships
Strong organizational skills and a commitment to student success
