Responsibilities
Project Assessment: Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and documentation to determine scope, timeline, and requirements
Cost Analysis: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors to develop accurate project estimates
Bid Preparation: Create and submit competitive bids aligned with company goals and client expectations
Collaboration: Coordinate with leadership, project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure complete and accurate estimates
Market Research: Monitor industry pricing, labor trends, and materials costs to maintain accurate and current cost data
Documentation: Maintain organized records of all estimates, proposals, and bid-related materials
Negotiation Support: Assist in discussions with clients and subcontractors to align scope and clarify pricing questions
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in construction estimating, ideally in utility or civil infrastructure sectors
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and estimating methodologies
Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Valid Driver's License required
Must be able to work on-site Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
