The role involves owning the frontend for Rerun Cloud, designing user interfaces, and collaborating with design and product teams to ensure a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities

Own the frontend for Rerun Cloud: design and build thoughtful, fast, accessible interfaces
Ship end-to-end features: stitch UI to APIs, data, and third-party integrations; draft or refine the backend contracts you need
Raise the bar on Developer Experience and quality: component design, testing, performance, and observability
Collaborate tightly with design, product, and platform to create a cohesive journey, the users will love

Required

Strong experience with a modern frontend stack — we use Svelte (SvelteKit), TypeScript, and component-driven development
Confident wiring UI to API-driven backends; comfortable proposing/negotiating API shapes
Experience with integration of third party APIs (authorisation, usage metering, payment providers)
Backend fluency to build thin services, understand code, or contribute to APIs (we use Rust and Go)
Practical grasp of performance, accessibility, testing (unit/e2e), and observability (metrics/logging/tracing)
Comfort working with infra-adjacent concerns (Kubernetes, declarative APIs, operator patterns) is a plus
