They are seeking a Per Diem MRI Technologist who will perform MRI procedures, ensure MRI safety for patients and staff, and provide patient services using magnetic diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities
Performs MRI procedures
Adheres to MRI safety for patients and staff within MRI zones 1 through 4
Provides patient services using Magnetic diagnostic imaging
Qualification
Required
License to practice Radiologic Technology from NYS Department of Health with a current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
MR registry is required within two years of employment
An injection license is also a requirement
Ability to work with minimal supervision and to set own priorities if necessary
Able to work effectively with patients of all ages and in all types of medical situations
Potential exposure to hazardous and toxic substances and infectious patients
Is responsible for adhering to standards of MR safety and protection as established by regulatory bodies and monitored by the Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO)
Is responsible to use universal precautions
Preferred
Experience preferable, however we will train a new graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program
GE experience is highly recommended
