Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
Handle structured/unstructured data and implement efficient JSON-based data flows
Work on AWS cloud services to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of backend systems
Integrate and optimize AI-driven components within the backend architecture
Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams to deliver end-to-end features
Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices
Contribute to architectural decisions to avoid duplicate backend implementations (Python-first approach)

Qualification

Required

5+ years of backend development experience
Strong expertise in Python for building scalable backend systems
Experience working with AWS cloud services (Lambda, EC2, S3, etc.)
Proficiency in working with JSON data structures and APIs
Experience in designing high-performance, distributed systems
Availability within PST working hours and overlap until 5:30PM Chicago time

Preferred

Familiarity with AI/ML integration within backend systems is a plus
