Romac Industries, Inc. is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead a team of engineers and technicians while setting the strategic direction for multiple product lines. The role involves driving product innovation, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality waterworks products.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction for a team of 15 to 20 engineers and technicians

Lead product development initiatives from concept through full scale production, ensuring compliance with cost, quality, and performance goals

Apply technical expertise to integrate innovative features, resolve production challenges, and establish engineering standards

Drive process refinement, cost reduction efforts, and ROI analysis for new tooling and equipment

Collaborate across sales, operations, marketing, and quality to align product development with customer needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field

Proven background in engineering of products in the metal fabrication, casting, or precision manufacturing

10 or more years of engineering experience, including 5 or more years in management

Strong track record of solving problems and driving organizational improvements

Excellent communication skills to engage effectively across all levels of the organization

Proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office, comfortable with hand and power tools

Preferred

Experience with casting, machining, or metal fabrication processes is highly desirable, as our products are precision-engineered metal components designed for waterworks applications
