Responsibilities
Lead the software/firmware engineering effort
Plan and coordinate software and firmware development activities with suppliers, customers as well as internal Nidec Aerospace personnel
Monitoring of software/firmware supplier activities Review and approval of software/firmware deliverables
Definition of development assurance plans, procedures, work instructions and tools
Capture of software and firmware requirements
Communication and alignment with Certification Authorities
Provide guidance concerning compliance to DO178C, DO254, DO330 and DO331
Provide guidance concerning model-based design
Interface with the Systems Engineers and Equipment Engineers to provide technical guidance
Interface with the customer to align certification and technical issues
Qualification
Required
Experience in New Product Development and Phase-Gate processes
Experience in software development according DO178C
Experience in software model-based design
Experience in firmware development according DO254
Experience in requirements management and V&V process
Experience in handling issues with certification authorities
Willingness to work with, and travel to, domestic and international design and manufacturing locations when necessary
Bachelor's or Master's or PhD's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
7 years of experience in software/firmware process assurance and/or software/firmware development
Preferred
Experience in modelling
Experience in integration of electronic hardware and motor control
Experience in ARP4754A process
