Responsibilities
Drive the news coverage for the site
Work with a team of writers and editors to cover breaking news, develop sharp articles and analyses, and engaging features
Curate other digital products, including newsletters, and coordinate social media production with the social media team
Guide coverage, edit copy, and help in the reporting process when needed
Ensure a top-notch visual presentation for the website is maintained at all times
Maintain a multiplatform approach that extends to print, online, and video
Qualification
Required
Ten to 15 years as an entertainment editor at a major publication is required
Strong preference for someone with a daily journalism/website background
Excellent editing and writing skills are a must
Must be proficient in WordPress
Must be extremely knowledgeable in analyzing data and working with analytics/SEO teams to ensure performance on site, as well as across multiple digital platforms
Excellent knowledge of the business of entertainment
Strong contacts
Experience in managing a team of journalists
