RESEARCH ASSISTANT I- Chanda Lab
Scripps Research is a nonprofit biomedical institute recognized globally for its innovative contributions to science. The Chanda Lab is looking for a Research Assistant I to support technology development for anti-tumor and autoimmune drug discovery, focusing on high-throughput assays and molecular toolkit construction.

Responsibilities
Molecular cloning
Human primary cell and cell line culture, preparation of media and reagents
Lentivirus production
Execute high-throughput assays against for screening campaigns
Data analysis and lab notebook documentation
The position requires great attention to detail, dexterity of the hands, troubleshooting capability and flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or related field and 1-3 years of related experience required
Experience in working with mammalian cells is required
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Letter of recommendation and/or at least one professional reference is required
Preferred
Experience with molecular cloning is preferred
Experience with database interface and data analysis using Excel and Prism is preferred
Experience with automated liquid handling instruments is a plus
Experience with gene expression analysis (RT-qPCR, NGS, etc.) is a plus
