Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, AI-driven backend and data systems, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and performance standards
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of R&D projects, from concept through prototyping and deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions
Serve as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to develop, implement, and enforce information security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of information assets
Qualification
Required
6+ years of professional software development experience, with 2+ years in a lead or tech-lead role
Strong backend expertise: Java, C++, Scala, Python—plus cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS) and data frameworks (e.g., Spark)
Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, microservices, and distributed systems
Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases
Well-honed software engineering practices: version control, CI/CD, unit testing, code reviews
Experience architecting and deploying production-grade systems and mentoring engineers
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proactive leadership: self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable steering projects in ambiguity
Passion for learning, innovation, and advancing AI-driven products
Preferred
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience with security best practices (OWASP, secure coding, API security)
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, EO 14117)
Experience with containerization, orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code
