Harmons Grocery is a company focused on providing high-quality food products and exceptional customer service. They are seeking a Lead Salad Bar who will be responsible for maintaining product standards, preparing salad bar items, managing inventory, and training new associates.

Responsibilities

Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures

Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the kitchen provides

Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the salad bar

Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items

Ensures the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance

Delivers excellent customer service to all customers

Prepares items for the salad bar; greens, walnuts, croutons, beets, bacon, etc

Mixes salad dressings

Mixes to-go dips

Packaging to-go soups, salads, and sandwiches

Setup and/or takedown of salad bar and soup bar

Responsible for inventory and ordering for the salad bar

Receiving and stocking of product

Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team

Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement

Assists as needed to ensure the success of the kitchen as a whole

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required

A high school diploma or GED preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities

Current Food Handler's Permit

Must enjoy working with and handling salad bar ingredients

Should have a passion for preparing, cooking, and eating food

Ability to read and follow a recipe

Basic math skills used to double or half a recipe

Have knowledge of appropriate knife skills and cutting techniques

Ability to interpret policies and procedures

Excellent organization and planning skills

Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with and manage a diverse group of customers and associates

Ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict

Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one's own success as well as the success of your team

Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized skills and techniques

Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons' mission and commitment to working collaboratively
