Payroll Coordinator, Lead

F.N.B. Corporation is seeking a Lead Payroll Coordinator to oversee payroll processing activities and assist the Manager of Payroll. This role involves ensuring accurate payroll processing, handling compliance requests, and serving as a subject matter expert for the payroll system.

Responsibilities

Accurately processes bi-weekly, monthly, and on-demand payroll on a timely basis for the Corporation including balancing payroll runs, producing and remitting Federal and State tax payments, sending Automatic Clearing House (ACH) and printing checks
Serves as a backup to send 401k and general ledger files to appropriate associates for processing
Enters/reviews new hire information, employee status changes, file maintenance and other HR/Payroll related information from the HRIS and Payroll system
Processes and performs data entry including, but not limited to, employee deductions, tax related information and wage garnishments, and short-term disability (STD) calculations
Prepares quarterly and annual local tax returns
Prepares quarterly Multiple Worksite Report
Administers time and attendance system including, but not limited to, leave accrual adjustments, pulling hours, balancing and importing payroll hours into the HRIS system
Troubleshoots issues related to employee payroll and time and attendance
Answers employee questions related to payroll and time and attendance
Subject matter expert of the payroll system responsible for testing and training Payroll Team of new updates
Assists Manager of Payroll with reporting and filings as required for any audits, internal requests, or to satisfy any regulatory requirements
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned

Required

Associates degree
3 years of job-related experience
Ability to accurately process bi-weekly, monthly, and on-demand payroll
Experience balancing payroll runs
Experience producing and remitting Federal and State tax payments
Experience sending Automatic Clearing House (ACH) and printing checks
Experience entering/reviewing new hire information and employee status changes
Experience processing employee deductions, tax related information, and wage garnishments
Experience preparing quarterly and annual local tax returns
Experience administering time and attendance systems
Ability to troubleshoot issues related to employee payroll and time and attendance
Ability to answer employee questions related to payroll and time and attendance
Experience testing and training Payroll Team on new updates
Ability to assist with reporting and filings for audits and regulatory requirements
