Responsibilities

Development and application of web processing technologies to enable manufacturing asset performance improvements
Provide coating and web handling expertise to support manufacturing operations
Support or lead process improvement projects to resolve process variabilities and/or defects
Improving global coating and web processing manufacturing processes that manufacture a wide breadth of 3M products
Participate in execution of Coating and Web Processing technology platform strategic plans
Willingness to maintain flexible hours to support global manufacturing

Qualification

Web processing technologiesCoating processesManufacturing processesProject managementLeadership skills

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution
Three (3) years of combined in manufacturing and/or technology development in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred

Advanced degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university
Experience with web processing technologies (converting, winding, lamination, web handling)
Hands-on experience with coating processes (roll, slot-die, others)
Experience with manufacturing processes such as roll-to-roll coating and/or film extrusion processes
Strong leadership, project management and influencing skills
