ROV Supervisor

Helix Energy Solutions Group is seeking an ROV Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years of offshore ROV experience. The role involves ensuring safe and efficient ROV/Trenching operations, managing personnel, and maintaining equipment and documentation.

Responsibilities

To manage all ROV/ Trenching personnel, ensuring continuity of services in accordance with company’s QHSE policy and objectives conducting JSAs and arranging crew safety meetings
To arrange for, or provide representation at offshore project meetings, e.g. morning, safety, project wash-ups, etc
Reporting accidents, incidents and near misses to the Vessel Superintendent, QHSE and Operations Managers
Overall responsibility for the offshore operation, maintenance and repair of the ROV/Trencher and ancillary equipment
Liaison with offshore client representatives
Creation and transmission of daily and weekly reports including daily logs, personnel timesheets, weekly safety/ROV reports
Offshore project documentation including record keeping
Ensuring that the PMS manual and Technical Log are kept up to date
Ensuring spares and materials are requisitioned in a timely manner to maintain the minimum stock levels in the system inventory
Ensuring goods received are checked against requisition, inventory updated and completed paperwork is returned to the operations department
Ensuring that items dispatched from offshore location, whether for repair, warranty, or on demobilization are accompanied by the correct paperwork
Participate as required in conducting risk assessments and developing procedures to accommodate ROV/Trencher limitations, provide contingency plans and emergency procedures as necessary
To arrange for or perform "on the job" training of personnel unfamiliar with the particular vessel or ROV equipment in use
To supervise onboard equipment maintenance in accordance with established schedules and assess system’s capability to perform tasks in given operational constraints
To appraise personnel performance in the execution of the work such that any training requirements are identified
To perform competency assessment of ROV personnel in accordance with the company’s competency scheme
To review system manuals and maintenance log books and certification for validity, currency, coverage and relevance for feedback to management

Required
