Centra Health is seeking a PET CT Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures under the clinical direction of a Radiologist. The role involves ensuring quality control of imaging equipment, preparing and administering radio-pharmaceuticals, and producing high-quality PET-CT images while adhering to safety and documentation guidelines.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic PET-CT / CT imaging procedures

Quality control of all equipment

Prep and measurement of radio-pharmaceuticals

Injection of the radio-pharmaceuticals or IV contrast

Administration of oral contrast

Protocol setup

Patient Positioning

Image reconstruction and filming

Network image transfers and archiving of image data

Adhere to all Radiation Safety rules to provide a safe environment. Survey department areas and record readings

Collect patient clinical information and follow HIPAA guidelines

Maintains proper documentation in accordance with NRC / State licensure requirements

Adheres to and performs in accordance with hospital rules and regulations related to fire, safety and emergency codes

May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time

Required

Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program

Completed required hours of continuing education

6 months of experience as a PET-CT Technologist

Current ARRT (N) or CNMT certification

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

Preferred

Bachelors Degree
