Responsibilities
Design and/or deliver an innovative new course in the General Education curriculum
Explore the intersection of computer science, math, art, and design
Engage with ethical and philosophical questions related to computational tools and creativity
Develop tactical computational skills and explore generative art, machine learning, and algorithmic design
Analyze how creativity intertwines with imagination, emotions, and innovation through hands-on projects
Collaborate with colleagues and consultants on curriculum development and refinement
Implement innovative and inclusive teaching best practices
Engage in course and program-level assessment design and data collection
Attend teacher training and professional learning activities
Participate in student-centered formative and summative assessments of teaching performance
Qualification
Required
Masters Degree required; Doctorate Preferred in computer science, data science, and machine learning, or closely related field
Demonstrated teaching experience in general education and a commitment to excellence in pedagogy
A passion for mentoring and guiding students in their academic and professional growth
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and community partners
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and practice
Preferred
Experience in general education curriculum development
