Responsibilities

Ensures compliance with plant safety rules and procedures
Maintains compliance with appropriate federal, state and local environmental regulations, reports and notifies appropriate plant personnel of any deviations per established standards
Trains and coaches personnel in efficient work procedures, safe work practices, and good housekeeping practices. Coaches and encourages development and growth of skills and abilities, performs necessary periodic performance reviews for warehouse staff
Ensures compliance to policies/procedures necessary for receiving, handling, storing, shipping and salvaging products/materials in order to meet corporate requirements, federal, state, and local regulations
Receives inventory into the warehouse, verifying appropriate documentation is provided and forwarded to appropriate personnel, resolving any discrepancies accordingly
Runs the reorder process daily and requisitions inventory items as necessary in order to maintain appropriate stock levels to support operations, as well as working to minimize transactions
Establishes and maintains appropriate inventory levels and inventory controls for all materials stored in warehouse, monitoring usage and coordinating efforts with other departments and resources to ensure appropriate levels are available in support of plant operational needs
Participates in inventory monitoring activities, including regular cycle counts, obsolescence reviews, audits, and annual physical inventory of storeroom items per established protocols, reporting results to appropriate personnel
Management of the repairable parts process
Rigorously reviews and expedites overdue inventory items
Identification of scrap or surplus materials and coordinates removal from site with buyer
Management of an effective kitting & staging process that supports the maintenance work flow
Regular attendance and participation at maintenance work process sequential meetings
Participates in the supplier relationship process to communicate and improve supplier performance
Development and implementation of the plant Metrics for inventory activities
Provide comprehensive and error free documentation of activities and results achieved
Follows up on and releases warehouse PO’s in faxed status
Support sourcing activities by providing information as required, on time and fully cleansed of errors
