They are seeking a Federal Work Study Student Activities Intern to assist in the operations of the Student Activities office, including event management, communication with students, and maintaining the office environment.

Responsibilities

The Intern will help operate the Student Activities office to ensure the office space is clean, greet visitors, post event flyers within the building, assist with large events and other services, give presentations, create/host small activities, and answer questions about student clubs
Must have availability Monday-Thursday: 10am-5pm
Performs other duties as assigned or apparent

Required

Applicants must be 16 years or older, have work permit consent, and eligible to work in the United States
Applicants must be actively attending one of the City Colleges of Chicago
Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester hours pre-credit or credit classes
Applicants must be pursuing an approved educational credential, degree, or certificate
Applicants must have and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA (waived for first semester new students)
Applicants must be in 'good standing' – no City Colleges of Chicago academic restrictions
Applicants must not be current Full or Part-time employees of the City Colleges of Chicago
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow detailed directions and communicate within a professional team environment
Ability to responsibly follow time schedule
Ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Promotes a positive role model and favorable public image as City Colleges of Chicago representative
Adheres to the City Colleges of Chicago Customer Services Excellence Standards
