Responsibilities

Administration of firm’s Oracle database environment including, but not limited to:

Support, configure, maintain, upgrade and patch database environments

System Health Monitoring

System Availability and Performance troubleshooting

Database Performance Tuning

Database Backup/Restore/Recovery management

Maintain data integrity and security

Oracle Grid Infrastructure management

Database Storage management (including ASM)

Automation of routine DBA tasks

Support Oracle environment HA/DR solutions (RAC, DataGuard)

Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation to support production database environment

Support software development projects, including production releases

Effectively coordinate and communicate with all stakeholders

Learn relevant business processes and understand data flow, criticality and dependencies

Innovative approach to work, constantly looking for opportunities to uplift the system to more efficient and effective new technologies

Required

7+ year experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, supporting various Oracle RDBMS versions (11g -19c+)

Good working knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters and Operating Systems (AIX, Linux, Windows)

Extensive Full Project life Cycle experience

Extensive experience in developing database scripts (SQL, PL/SQL and Unix Shell)

Working knowledge of Oracle database design, coding, and documentation

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred

some experience with other DBMS's: PostgreSQL, Sybase, etc
