This role involves growing the Public Sector practice in California and delivering exceptional service throughout the audit process while mentoring junior staff.

Play a pivotal role in growing the Public Sector practice in the California market
Continue to deliver exceptional service to clients across all stages of the audit process
Foster the professional growth and development of Associates, Senior Associates, Supervisors, and Managers on the team through mentorship and training
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Active CPA license
8+ years of public accounting experience or its equivalent
Experience leading audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, GASB, GAGAS (Yellow Book), and Uniform Guidance
Experience working with public sector clients including state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, and/or higher education
Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise Associates, Senior Associates, Supervisors, and Managers
Strong relationship management and practice development skills
Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
Demonstrates independent thinking and strong decision-making skills
Team orientation and strong people skills
