Marketing & Events Associate

The Downtown SF Partnership is a non-profit organization focused on enhancing downtown San Francisco through various services and initiatives. They are seeking a Marketing & Events Associate to support digital communications, design engaging materials, and assist in event programming and logistics.

Responsibilities

Design branded assets for print and digital use (flyers, signage, web graphics, social media posts, event collateral, ad sizes, reports, etc.)
Develop supporting copy as needed to enhance visual content and messaging
Collaborate interdepartmentally to fulfill creative requests that support outreach and engagement goals
Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Coordinator on gathering content for social media, highlighting businesses, district happenings, and points of interest
Regularly update website pages (e.g., events calendar, project updates, images, blog posts, etc.)
Ensure visual quality, accessibility, and accuracy of online content
Support the Events & Activations Manager with planning, administrative tasks, and metrics
Assist with events and public space programming logistics, such as check-in, attendee communications, and venue setup and tear down
Other duties and special projects as assigned

Required

A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field
A minimum of 1 year experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, or event coordination
Applied graduate coursework may be considered towards relevant experience
Technical proficiency in design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign and Photoshop) a must
Comfort with working across diverse audiences
Excellent communication and writing skills
Experience using Microsoft Office & Google Workspace are required
Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred

Experience with public events or placemaking initiatives is a plus
