Responsibilities

Inspection, maintenance, and repair of the potable water distribution system
Inspection, maintenance, and repair of the sanitary wastewater distribution system
Inspection, maintenance, and repair of the storm water drainage system
Inspection, maintenance, and repair of the potable water distribution system used to supply potable water to ships
Inspection, maintenance, and repair of the pier/berth fendering and safety systems
Inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire hydrants throughout the marine terminals

Required

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Three (3) years of experience performing skilled trade work in the area of underground utilities
Possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland
During the probationary period, employees may be required to obtain and maintain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) valid in the State of Maryland, depending on the type of equipment operated
During the probationary period, employees will be required to obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) to gain unescorted access to the Maryland Department of Transportation, Maryland Port Administration facilities
