Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company (F&G) is seeking a Summer 2025 intern for their Expense Reporting and Analysis team, providing a valuable opportunity for professional development and networking. The intern will assist in various tasks related to expense reporting, analysis, and budgeting, while working closely with the Lead Financial Analyst and other functional areas.

Responsibilities

Assisting with Operating Expense reporting, forecasting and variance analysis
Preparing reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts and other financial data
Preparing journal entries and supporting analysis
Preparing fixed assets and accrual entries, reconciliations, and analysis
Assisting with monthly headcount reconciliations and reporting
Assisting with preparation of annual budgets
Assisting with ad hoc requests, special projects and other duties related to financial reporting and analysis
Other duties related to Expense Reporting and Analysis, as assigned

Qualification

AccountingFinance degree/advanced Microsoft OfficeVariance analysisFinancial reportingWillingness to learnCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsTeamworkTime management

Required

Accounting or Finance degree major
Completed Sophomore year of higher education
GPA of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale) within major
Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
Highly motivated and demonstrated ability to take initiative
Willingness to learn
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work on multiple tasks
Organizational and time management skills
Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word)
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to create complete and accurate documentation of work performed

Preferred

Interest in a career within financial services industry preferred
