Responsibilities

Develop novel aerosol dispersal mechanisms, including nozzle design, flow control, and payload integration
Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and wind tunnel testing to validate design concepts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics, controls, and software engineers, to ensure seamless system integration
Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and iterative design improvements
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards
Document design processes, test results, and performance data
Provide technical expertise and support to the broader engineering team

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Strong understanding of aerodynamics, structural mechanics, and fluid dynamics
Experience in prototyping, testing, and validating engineering designs
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical information effectively
Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements for UAS operations

Preferred

Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques, such as 3D printing and composite fabrication, is a plus
